Surveys
PLRB sends surveys to members, distance learning participants, event participants, committee members, and board members. PLRB often sends the surveys via a third party vendor.
One vendor used is SurveyMonkey. Their privacy policy can be found here, https://www.surveymonkey.com/mp/legal/privacy-policy/. The policy specifically discusses their limited use of respondent data.
PLRB collects your name, contact details, and professionals credentials and the survey results. Raw survey records are archived.
PLRB does not sell your contact information with others to use for their marketing purposes. PLRB does not sell the survey information.
Before sharing results with most staff and others, PLRB uses psuedonimization and removes identities of survey taker’s responses.
Surveys and course evaluations for live and distance courses are shared with the teams of speakers and presenters for which they relate. All such survey results are shared with PLRB staff and the PLRB conference planning committee.
For purposes of administering CE credit, some jurisdictions mandate that surveys be completed to receive credit. If requested, PLRB shares results with state agencies as required by regulation.
The legal basis PLRB relies on to process your personal data to provide most services is GDPR article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, which allows us to process personal data when its necessary for the purposes of our legitimate interests. However, some of the processing is based on legal requirements for fire safety, GDPR article 6(1)(c).
You have rights to access, rectify, restrict, and object. PLRB provides self-help user portals which allow you to update all of your contact and professional information as well as view any information collected and stored about you.
