Types of Membership
Insurer Membership with PLRB is available to any insurance company, insurance company group, or MGA/MGU licensed in any state, territory, or possession of the United States that underwrites property or casualty insurance. As a member, you gain access to a suite of invaluable resources and benefits tailored to enhance your operations and empower your team:
- Legal Resources: Navigate complex legal issues confidently with access to PLRB’s comprehensive legal case databases and coverage analysis, assisting claims professionals in making well-informed decisions.
- Weather and Catastrophe Tools: Utilize PLRB’s weather/CAT mapping, power outage reports, and analytics tools to pinpoint weather events linked to specific claims, validate claimed causes of loss, and to strategically allocate resources during natural disasters and catastrophes.
- Building Codes: Leverage PLRB’s extensive database and interactive tools to accurately assess losses by clarifying relevant building codes, guide restoration and contractor services, and ensure compliance with building codes throughout the claims handling process.

Many of these events, courses, and classes qualify for adjuster and attorney continuing education (CE and CLE) credits, with PLRB even handling the filing of your credits with regulators.

Who’s Eligible?
- Independent Adjusters or Adjusting Companies, i.e. those providing property or casualty claims adjustment services directly to insurers on an independent contractor basis; and
- Service Providers who directly assist insurers in the property/casualty claims adjustment process, including but not limited to, salvage companies, engineering firms, accounting firms, restoration companies, replacement services, appraisal companies, and law firms.
