Overview
The city of Kenai adopted some 2009 ICC codes. The City also adopted some Uniform Codes such as Plumbing, Building Security and Sign.

The City deleted Chapters 11 through 42 of the adopted 2009 IRC.
Existing Buildings
Existing buildings, meaning buildings that were built in accordance to code at the time of
construction, typically merit extra consideration in a current updated code.
The City uses Appendix J of the adopted 2009 IRC for existing residential buildings.
