Nelson E. Canter, Esq. formerly the founder of Canter Law Firm P.C. is now a Partner of McLaughlin & Stern, LLP based in New York City and heads up their national property subrogation practice. Mr. Canter started his career in law enforcement as an Assistant District Attorney in Westchester County, N.Y., served as Asst. Chief of his local fire dept. where he is a Life Member with over 35 years of active service, was elected to a 4-year Term as Harrison Town Justice in one of the busiest local courts in all of New York State, and was appointed to the Westchester County Arson Task Force. He has prosecuted hundreds of large loss subrogation cases around the country, was the keynote Speaker at the New York State Adjuster’s conference in New York City and frequently lectures at PLRB.
