The course, “Soft Tissue Injury Cases” contains content designed to enhance the knowledge, understanding, and/or professional competence of the student regarding common issues in soft tissue injury cases and trial strategies.
The course is designed to familiarize attendees with the important aspects of soft tissue injury claims from a legal and medical standpoint. The module is presented by David Bub, Principal of Brown & James, P.C.
David Bub begins by defining what constitutes a soft tissue injury and outlining common soft tissue injuries and their treatments. Next, he defines what is chiropractic medicine and summarizes some common types of chiropractic care. He also provides an overview of the state regulations on chiropractic care as well as other attempts to standardize chiropractic medicine. He then reviews six less common conditions in soft tissue injury cases. Finally, he outlines the objectives in discovery and trial of soft tissue injury cases.
After completing the course, the attendee should be able to define what is soft tissue; outline the common types of soft tissue injury cases; identify common treatments for soft tissue injuries; define what is chiropractic medicine; locate state chiropractic regulations; list common types of chiropractic care; outline guidelines which provide standards for length of chiropractic treatment; describe less common soft tissue injury conditions; establish objectives in discovery and trial of soft tissue injury cases; and review pre-trial activities and strategies.
The course is designed for practitioners and insurance professionals working in the area of casualty insurance coverage and litigation.
