The coverage verification process is consistent regardless of the types of policy forms or property involved. The first task of the adjuster is to begin the process of coverage verification and/or interpretation. This process starts upon receipt of the claim assignment and is a critical element of the initial contact with the insured. This requires a full and complete understanding of the coverage in place.
