Overview

Sweetwater, TN has adopted the 2012 International Codes, with amendments, including the 2012 IRC and IBC. Sweetwater, TN Muni. Codes § 12-401 (IRC adoption), § 12-402 (IRC amendments), § 12-101 (IBC adoption) and § 12-102 (IBC amendments).

Sweetwater, TN has adopted the 2012 IRC including appendix G. Sweetwater, TN Muni. Code § 12-401.

Section R 313 pertaining to single family and two (2) family dwellings is hereby deleted, however, sprinklers are required for a townhouse if: (a) four (4) or more units, (b) three (3) units with five thousand (5,000) or more total square feet, or (c) three (3) units with less than five thousand (5,000) total square feet and three (3) or fewer stories if not separated by a two (2) hour fire wall. Sweetwater, TN Muni. Code § 12-402.
