Overview
Under Ceylon City Code § 7.34, Ceylon, MN has adopted MN State Building Codes, but does not currently enforce them. Per an email message from the City of Ceylon City Clerk-Treasurer and telephone conversation with Ronnie Leiding, both on August 23, 2019, to a PLRB staff member, Using the authority of the Ceylon, MN Zoning Ordinance, the Building Inspector fills out requests for items such as new decks, fencing, and some additions.
The State Building Code is the standard that applies statewide for the construction, reconstruction, alteration, and repair of buildings and other structures of the type governed by the code..
