Overview
Per an email dated July 8, 2019, to a PLRB staff member, no adoption ordinance could be located by the City. The City of Goodhue has adopted the MN State Building Codes since 1979. However, the Goodhue County Building Official and staff administer the building code by joint-powers agreement with the City of Goodhue. The county reviews the plans and does the inspections. The joint-powers agreement (shown here) is for one calendar year and can be renewed annually by both parties. The City of Goodhue approved the current agreement at its October 24, 2018, City Council Meeting, as documented here. Goodhue County, MN approved the current agreement at its January 8, 2019 Board of Commissioners' Meeting, as shown here.
