Overview
No adoption of the International Residential Code (IRC) was found in the Daingerfield, Texas, city ordinances or city website. However, the city adopted the 2021 International Building Code, and the IBC could be viewed as incorporating the IRC. Electra, Texas, adopted the 2021 International Building Code (IBC), including all Appendices, with amendments. Electra, TX, Building and Construction, Code of Ordinances. We contacted the City of Electra, TX for additional amendments under Electra City Code Chapter 3. The city confirmed that the "Ice Barrier Underlayment is not required due to the lack of ice buildup no more than 1inch max."
