Overview

The city of Bethany, Mo. adopted the following codes:

The city of Bethany, Mo. adopted the International Residential Code, 2012 edition, including appendices E, G, H and J. Bethany, Mo. Muni. Code, § 500.130 (adopted with amendments).

• Ice barriers are not required. [Note: The city includes amendments to Table R301.2(1); however these amendments are for the 2006 IRC which includes a different table. In the original 2006 amendments, the city does not require the installation of ice barriers.]
• R313 is amended to make fire sprinklers optional. The state mandates that builders provide the option to install sprinklers.
