Existing buildings, meaning buildings that were built in accordance to code at the time of

Existing Buildings
The alteration, repair, addition and change of occupancy of existing structures in Frederick County shall be governed by the Maryland Building Rehabilitation Code (which adopted the 201 IEBC) adopted under the authority of the State of Maryland, Department of Housing and Community Development, Article 83B, subsection 6-503, Annotated Code of Maryland (COMAR 05.16).
