Waterloo, IL has adopted the 2006 IRC including appendix G.

R905.1 Roof covering application. Roof coverings shall be applied in accordance with the applicable provisions of this section and the manufacture’s installation instructions. Unless otherwise specified in this section, roof coverings shall be installed to resist the component and cladding loads specified in Table R301.2(2), adjusted for height and exposure in accordance with Table R301.2(3). Roof panels utilizing exposed fasteners will not be permitted.

Waterloo, IL has adopted the 2012 IBC including appendix I (except Section 1105.2) . 

Existing Buildings

Waterloo, IL did not adopt the IEBC, therefore Chapter 34 of the IBC would apply.

101.4.4 Property maintenance. The International Property Maintenance Code is deleted in its entirety. The provisions of Chapter 29 of the Revised Code of the City of Waterloo shall apply to existing structures and premises; equipment and facilities; light, ventilation, space heating, sanitation, life and fire safety hazards; responsibilities of owners, operators and occupants; and occupancy of existing premises and structures.
