Insured's Duties to Perform
Hot Topics from the Claims Conference Webinar
Thursday, June 11, 2015
The insured has specific duties that must be performed when a claim has been filed. "Insured's Duties to Perform" was one of the hot topics featured at the recent 2015 Claims Conference in Anaheim, California.
This webinar will feature that Claims Conference presentation with Crystal Uebelher, claims attorney with SECURA Insurance Companies. Following the webinar the attendees will be able to:
• Review the insured's various condition precedent and condition subsequent obligations in first-and-third party claims;
• Identify ways to encourage the insureds to fully perform these duties;
• Describe the point in the adjustment when an insurer has waived the right to demand compliance; and
• Determine when an insurer can safely deny an otherwise covered claim due to the insured's failure to perform a condition.
This webinar is available exclusively to employees of PLRB member insurance companies and affiliate members. Space is limited. Additional information is available here.
