Adjuster Professional Development at PLRB Western Regional Adjusters Conference
June 16 & 17, 2015
Adjusters will be able to continue their professional development at the upcoming PLRB Western Regional Adjusters Conference June 16 & 17. This will be the first of three PLRB Regional Adjusters Conferences this year.
The Conference will open Tuesday, June 16, in the Embassy Suites Frisco Hotel with a keynote address by Kyson Johnson, Chief Prosecutor, Texas Department of Insurance - Fraud Unit. The presentation will cover current fraud trends in Texas, with examples of recently concluded investigations.
Sessions will be offered in both the property and casualty lines of insurance. For example, "Appraisal Strategies with Property Claims" is one of the many breakout sessions that will be available for property adjusters continuing education, while "Bad Faith in Third Party Claims" will be available for casualty adjusters. General interest topics will also be available, such as " Claims Ethics and Good Faith Adjustments."
Adjuster continuing education credit will be available at no cost for adjusters licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, and Florida.
The Western Regional Insurance Services Expo will be open both Tuesday, June 16 and Wednesday, June 17. Claims service providers from Texas, the western region, as well as nationally based companies will be in the Expo hall to tell attendees what's new to assist them in managing their claims files.
A complementary lunch will be served in the Expo hall both days.
